Pagosa Springs High School senior Sydney (Simon) Mitchell seen here in the last rehearsal for “Matilda the Musical,” playing the villainous and tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull before the play was shut down due to coronavirus. Mitchell has been accepted into the prestigious theater department of Rutgers University. Other senior actors and techies in “Matilda” are: Grace Thompson, KC Yeneza, Hunter Swinehart, Emma Happ, Kaden Hessman, Cheyenne Todd, Nick Voelker, Megan Foster and Alanis Sanchez.
