The Eddie Oldham 4-H Scholarship was founded in 1990. The Scholarship Board administrates the scholarship annually for four years at $750 per recipient, and is renewable for four years.
We are proud to announce this year’s recipient, Mesa Lynch. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder.
Mesa has been in 4-H for eight years. Just to mention a few of her projects: market swine for five years, veterinarian science for four years, market goat two years, scrapbooking and dog obedience. She was also the president of District 9, which includes La Plata, Montezuma and Archuleta counties.
The annual fundraiser, trail ride, auction and barbecue will be held in the Blanco Basin in July. More information is available by contacting Ike Oldham at 264-5063 or Shirley Eoff at 264-5489, or you can email Ike at grumpyike@gmail.com.
